After three years of searching and auditions...

BOKO HARAM? BLAME it ON OBAMA!!!

Posted by: Music Editor - Asaba, Nigeria
Posted on: Thu, 10 Aug 2017 00:35:33 +0000

After three years of searching and auditions for suitable talents worthy of participation in the Roots And Wisdom music's Africa "WILD" project (Worship, Inspiration, Life, Devotion), we are happy to announce that the first set of artists enlisted in this talent search are now ready for showcasing. The qualifying musicians were enlisted from various parts of Nigeria, and now have their recordings and videos available on CD's and music videos. Some of these music videos are already available for free viewing on youTube, by clicking the pictures of the artists below:-
Sister Joy James (Nee Ogbor), is an acclaimed Gospel Music artist whose track "I DIDN'T KNOW" was selected because of it's popularity in gospel and pentecostal church circles around the world. When the single was released several years ago as part of the CD "IDENTITY HEAVEN", gospel musicians and churches were singing the single at their events without giving due credit to Sister Joy as the rightful composer. Through this project, we have helped Sister Joy to match her face to her song, and people all over the world are now saying "We didn't Know..."
Angel Flash is featured with her single, "JOHNNY". Discovered while she was selling her wares and singing her songs on the streets of Onitsha, Africa's biggest market town in Nigeria, Angel Flash is trying very hard here to spread her wings with this very melodious song about her struggles with people who did not care about her until she became famous.
We found YoungTcee near Nnewi, the old capital of the original Biafra, not too far away from the infamous Ojukwu Bunker. As Nigeria is tangled with political crisis with Boko Haram and the Biafra agitations, YoungTcee is managing to keep his focus on music with his single "AKUKO (The Gist)", recounting his own life's story as he struggles as a youth in the melting pot, now still known as Nigeria.
Biggie is a musician who sings about his long lost love in this single titled "OGECHI". His style is the smooth and cool rendition that turns his fans on with passion.Watch him here as he dances his way to the hearts of several beautiful girls, trying to find the true heart of his truly beloved Ogechi.
This track "TANANANA BABY" from 2Dark is a dance groove. 2Dark is an outstanding Nigerian musician who is fluent in several Nigerian languages, making him a true Nigerian with a one love heart. He is joined here by Young Send, another upcomming artist to deliver this track with remarkable international qualities. VIDEOS NOW SHOWING ON YOUTUBE!!!

BLAME it ON OBAMA (BOO)

It’s Obama-bashing time. As this historic American president prepares to finish up his second term in office, and define his legacy, his record is suddenly being seen as decisive, about where he has excelled, and where he has fumbled. As such, many people are blaming a majority of some blunders and violence around the world on Obama, threatening to overshadow his good records.

Are there problems today in Libya? Hell, yes. Blame it on Obama. BOO!

Is there terrorism in Mali, Nigeria, Chad, Cameroon, Niger, threatening Africa? Yes. Blame it on Obama. BOO!!.

Is President Jonathan of Nigeria facing a serious threat to his political career because of Boko Haram and the collapse of the oil economy? Yes? Blame that one on Obama too.

There are other blame games going on against Obama in his homefront, ranging from Obamacare and his war against international terrorism, but let us limit our blame to only some roles Obama has played in Africa during his administration.

Obama has not proven to be a very good partner of Africa as much as previous American presidents have tried to be. What an irony, because many Africans had foolishly believed that as a president with direct African ancestry, Obama was going to be a real crusader of peace and prosperity for Africa. Instead, Obama has defied African leaders, championing rebellions around Africa that killed many people and toppled African governments. This has created chaos in countries like Libya and Mali, and now, Nigeria is waking up to the realities of how their trust in President Obama has led them to no where, but an intensification of chaos and insecurity.

Amidst a serious deterioration in security in Nigeria because of Boko Haram, the Nigerian president has accused his American counterpart, Obama of only paying lip services to the Boko Haram problem in Nigeria. The whole world still remembers the media hypes and promises to Nigeria when Boko Haram kidnapped many young girls in 2014. There were promises made by President Obama’s administration to support Nigeria, find the girls, give aids, security, and blah, blah, blah. It now turns out that American officials are claiming that Nigeria really never sent any request to them for help.

President Goodluck Jonathan is left wondering why his dear friend and brother, Obama promised to help find the kidnapped girls in Nigeria, and fight Boko Haram, but has now backed away from that promise. Jonathan remarked that Obama, who is fighting terrorism around the world, should have seen that Nigeria is losing her own war against terrorism, and help Nigeria out.

But as much as Jonathan is hoping on Obama to save Nigeria, Nigerians are skeptical of Americans coming to run things for them. Disastrous situations, like in Libya, where the murdered Libyan Leader Moumar Ghadafi had trusted Obama, only to be abandoned, to be brutally overthrown, give nightmares to leading and opposing Nigerian political candidates. With less than six weeks left to their postponed elections, the successes or failures of their career aspirations may now solely depend on the United States of America and Obama.

BOKO HARAM –FROM IRRELEVANCE TO BIG WINNERS IN NIGERIA’S 2015 ELECTIONS

Posted by: Editor - Abuja, Nigeria
Posted on: Mon, 09 Feb 2015 03:36:51 -0500

Never before in the history of Nigeria has there been any insurgency as brutal and mind boggling as the one that has been exhibited in the Bokom Haram terror campaigns in Nigeria since 2008. Starting out small, even seemingly insignificant, the scope and terror of their actions now has earned them notoriety around the world, but still, not complete acceptance. Even with eventual defeat, Boko Haram might have succeeded to earn for themselves a coveted trophy for standing in the way and causing the government of Nigeria to postpone generally scheduled elections, so that soldiers will go and fight Boko Haram before providing security for voting.

As we prepare this writing, soldiers of the Nigerian armed forces, with their several African counterparts have gone after Boko Haram in a “six weeks” make it, or break it, battle. Nigerians now fear that this battle with Boko Haram might really delay elections indefinitely in their country, if Boko Haram never gets defeated. Or, Boko Haram might be defeated, and the government might have become too worn out, or too over stretched, to continue with any postponed elections.

No matter what outcome, Boko Haram has won the first round in these votes for pausing the very sacred process of choosing an “electoral illusion” at the polls, for many of the masses. Boko Haram has won this battle, not for Nigeria or Nigerians, but for those who are seeking the disintegration of the country. Many of these Nigerians, are even non Nigerians, who are also hatching eggs with the electoral process, and other international bodies, so that they can eat their eggs and have them as well.

Who are the members of this Boko Haram? Nigerians can continue to point their fingers to many suspects in Northern Nigeria and beyond, for an answer for themselves, but the truth is that no one is a member of Boko Haram. Boko Haram is only an ideology of terror born and led by a few with mismanaged and stolen money, from Nigeria, Libya, and international rogue banks holding transactions for criminal administrations around the world. These people want more money from Nigeria, and if they cannot get it, it is to their advantage to keep fighting until they can get it. There is nothing else to do for them; it is like a cycle of life and death, to get it, or fight it or kill it, when they have lost it. Unfortunately, this also is an inborn trait of so many other people in Nigeria.

All this money readily buys any member, be it old, young, or even the suckling and the powerful. All this money is Boko Haram. All of these Nigerians who are now eagerly waiting to be crowned, or to have their candidates crowned for office in these elections, are at a crossroad. The eyes of the whole world are watching you now, as you try to govern and terrorize yourselves at the same time.

BILL COSBY AINT NO SAINT!

Posted by: Wisdom Ogbor - OPINION
Posted on: Sun, 11 Jan 2015 00:49:07 -0500

THIS BILL COSBY AFFAIR
There is absolutely no doubt in my mind that Bill Cosby may not be innocent of all the charges being made against him now, or any other charges ever made against him in the future, about anything. There is no doubt in my mind also that women are victims of unspeakable crimes at the hands of many unsuspecting people all over the world.

Where there is doubt in my mind is why so many people have kept quiet for so long over details of the accusations that are now being made against Bill Cosby by several women. There is also doubt about why so many people who were not in the know of “everything”, because they were not there, but they are quick to cast a stone at only one camp, without the benefit of even a judicial verdict. The doubt is even real hard when people are attacked for speaking up for Bill Cosby, because everyone has already believed the story of what all the women are claiming.

But justice is not one sided. You have to know the details of all the relationships in question. You have to have known their motives, the games they played with each other, psychologically, with signals sent, received, missed, misinterpreted, and on and on, and so on. You have to have been privy to the words and promises from both sides, in order to have had the honor of each other’s company.

Then you have to even go further, to know if there were disappointments from unfulfilled words, or failed expectations, or something, or this, or that. And as if that is not enough, you have to wonder about all these doubts of why no one was mad enough to stop that rapist man as he climbed to the highest heights in world entertainment in America.

No one was hurting enough to say something to someone so that Bill Cosby would have failed in his career, and we would have all said, “Served him right”. On the contrary, all cheered and watched us fall in love with an entertainment genius as he achieved it all and he retired. Now he is planning to come back and take over the entertainment world again, and you are saying all these things?

My knowledge of so many brave men and women in America, who stand up and fight for their rights in all unusual circumstances, aid me to foster my skepticism. In more than any other part of the world, the Americans’ perpetual awareness of their rights, be it civil rights, extremists rights, female rights, sexual rights, animal rights, gay rights, lead to fierce rebuttals when threatened. That is the gas that powers demonstrations by Americans against people, institutions, corporations, governments, or issues that endanger these rights. The more educated you are, the more you cherish these rights.

For several American women to have not spoken up from an abuse from one man over such a long time lend to thoughts that maybe what they now see as an abuse, may not really have been perceived as such when it first transpired. Because if it was perceived as an abuse, the reactions that failed to follow then, throws so much doubt to the courage and clarity in all these claims now.

When even some of the accusations against Bill Cosby have began to be based on if he hugged someone wrongly, or rightly one time, more than another time, many years ago; or maybe that awkward kiss may have been an abuse too. Memories are being jerked to perceive and express moments that may as well have been awkward, that no one was really a master of, more than the other person.

Those are sentiments that may have promoted all these quietness for so long, because, these crimes did not happen in draconian societies where people know nothing of their rights, especially to just speak up.

I exercise my right to speak and reason, to raise these questions. I raise them for the benefit of fairness for the accusers and the accused. I raise the questions most of all to address my doubts, and reconcile my fear that someone I may know, or maybe even me, may habour such a cover up of a serious abuse sexually against us, for so long.
