WORKING THE AGRICULTURAL PROJECT

The music is just to get your attention. Now, here is where we roll up our sleeves, step into the dirt, to begin the so called "dirty work".

While one person alone does not pocess all the answers, there is room to work with everyone who has some ideas to contribute to this initiative.

This is the scenario in it's most simplistic vision. People are abandoning the farms and are prefering other professions, so it is harder to get satisfactory results from our farms. There is no enthusiasm among our young people to commit to agriculture for the future. Instead, they are prefering to buy even the most basic food materials while these products could be easily grown on lands which we have in abundance.

So what is going on? Only old men and women are left behind to farm with little or outdated information, and with no substantial government support. That is why this project has become necessary, to go back to the land and pitch an unwavering support to all the people who are trying hard to feed the people with agriculture. This project will continue to ring your bells for the next forseeable future to bend your preference to include agriculture.

The pioneer farms in Akwukwu are struggling to make it with problems of their own. According to some of the information reaching us, one of the major problem is getting the products to the market on time before they perish.

In this area, we can tackle it by implementing different systems of preservation. That is where we need the work force. By preserving, we buy the necessary time that is needed to reach further away markets, even in Europe and North America, where the African immigrants are daily demanding food products from their own parts of Africa. From our own humble farms in Akwukwu, we can position ourselves to be among the suppliers of these products.

Now, how does this benefit everyone? Well, in many ways. This initiative will generate more employment in the localities, and share information with all farmers who may like to work in the co-operatives. This will breath a new breathe into the sector and begin to energize the many unemployed youth who are "waiting" for their dream jobs, to see the jobs that are available in the agricultural sector.

This project will generate all the funds it needs to fund itself, in the future, but will depend on you and the public to jump start it now by buying music and art associated with the project, or attending events organised around the world to raise funds for the project.

Do not remain silent to this call. Take a step to show your support. Put your own words out there, so that people will know that you are making a stand for our future. Now is your turn; Please send us your own opinion below:
